Over the Moon’s mission is to support growing families from pregnancy to preschool by offering education, community, and fun. Beyond our classes, we impact our community in multiple impactful ways.
First, we offer two free and open-to-the-public drop-in breastfeeding support groups every Tuesday at Over The Moon Parenting in Norwell. They are welcoming environments for new nursing mothers to share, connect, and seek guidance from a trusted professional. Mothers and newborns 0-2 months are 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and mothers and babies over 2 months are 1 to 2 p.m.
Also, each month, Over The Moon focuses one one special community effort to make our families stronger, our community healthier, and our world a better place.
In January, we collected donations for Scituate Animal Shelter. In February, we created a banner to send to Australia for the care of koalas burned in wildfires.
Every Mother’s Day we run a fundraiser for EmpowerHER, a nonprofit supporting young girls who have suffered the early loss of their mothers.
In the summer, we are hoping to co-host a beach clean-up with Breakwater Blue, a local business committed to keeping trash off the beach and reusing materials in design.
We do a food drive in November benefiting the Norwell Food Pantry, and a toy drive in December for Room to Grow. We also donate a tree to the Hingham Women’s Club’s Festival of Trees to raise money for scholarships.
We are always looking for new initiatives to support. If you are passionate about a community project and would like to partner with us, please reach out at email@example.com
