Early Child Development Teacher,

(3 TO 5 DAYS A WEEK), 9 AM TO 2 PM. 

Seeking an experienced teacher who would be comfortable teaching both children and adults together in our early child enrichment classes. Classes are for children 5 months old to 5 years old, each child attending with his/her caregiver. We are seeking a knowledgeable, energetic, and fun teacher to lead these interactive classes. The goal of our enrichment classes is to enhance a caregiver’s understanding of their child’s development stage, so they can best enjoy, understand, and gently guide their child. The classes are also designed to help children explore and grow with peers in a safe and fun environment with their caregiver by their side. Once hired, you will be given our Over The Moon curriculum.

Candidate must:

• Love working with babies, toddlers and preschoolers!
• Comfortable teaching adults.
• Bachelor’s degree, with a focus in early child development and/or special education.  
• Master’s degree is preferred.  
• Minimum of 2 years teaching and experience presenting to a group.
• All applicants must be Covid vaccinated.

Below is an overview of our enrichment classes:

Enrichment classes for children 5 months to 3 years old (with care giver): These enrichment toddler classes offer weekly, 1-hour developmental and sensory play and parenting classes for caregivers and their curious little ones. 

Each class offers:

• The perfect balance of structured and free play in a clean and safe environment, as well as Expert parenting advice for caregivers from highly qualified and experienced early childhood professionals
• Circle time rich with music, props, parachute play and games that foster language development and encourage social interactions
• Simple and useful sign language used by instructor throughout the class
• Engaging developmental play activities that focus on specific areas of development, such as water play, finger paint, open-ended craft, and climbing toys
• Developmental rationale for each activity and the opportunity to discuss milestones and parenting topics such as sleeping, routines, feeding, relationships, behavior and more
• Consistent, comforting class routines– children learn what to expect and feel safe to play and explore
• Story time, bubbles, and goodbye song
• Class will end with time in the Explorer Zone

Preschool Enrichment Drop-off children 2.9 to 5 years old:

This preschool enrichment drop-off series invites your little one to investigate the world! Each week they will enjoy developmentally appropriate literacy, sensory play, art and STEM activities!  Children will share ideas in a group, explore and gather information through hands-on play, draw and create art, experiment and write about their findings.  We will then come together as a group to reflect upon all they learned and enjoy fun in the Explorer Zone before going home!

1 hour 30 minutes, Drop-Off program, all supplies included.
