Weekly for three hours. Your children can explore art, music, movement and their minds! This is a great way for your little ones to experience a morning on their own, while building confidence and independence. Concerned about your toddler not being potty trained? No problem! There are no restrictions in our Toddler Playschool.

Typical Daily Schedule:

• Drop Off / Free Play / Clean Up (Sensory, Fine Motor)
  (Coloring, Play-doh, Stamps, Markers, Stickers, and Crayons)
• Circle Time (Sing Hello Song to Friends, Review the ‘Visual Schedule’ for the day & Theme)
• Movement/Music (Gross Motor Skills) (Use instruments: Shakers and Sticks)
• Go to the Explorer Zone (Gross Motor Skills)
• Arts and Craft and Play (Craft to go with the Theme of the Week)
• Circle Time/ wash hands (Weather, Colors, Shapes, ABC’s, 123’s, Story Time)

Learn about labor, birth and postpartum with current, evidence-based information. Practice various coping and comfort techniques with the help of your support person and decide what works best for you! Be prepared and knowledgeable when your labor starts. Know your medical and pain management options.

Learn to confidently advocate, with the help of your support person, for what is meaningful and important to you throughout your labor, birth and postpartum experience.

CLASS INCLUDES:

Register for our American Heart Association “Friends and Family” South Shore Infant and Child CPR Class in Pembroke, MA. To register as an individual instead of a couple please call the center, cost for individual is $75.

This course will teach you the skills of CPR and foreign body airway obstruction for an infant (0 to 1-year-old) and child (> than 1 year old).  This hands-on class is taught by a Certified American Heart Association Instructor.  You will be practicing the life-saving techniques.  You learn on 2 different size mannequins (baby and child). Other common safety concerns for infants and children will also be discussed.

Come to our Newborn Essentials Class and learn from a newborn care expert what to expect during your first days and weeks at home with your New Arrival! Since babies do not come with instructions, let us help you prepare to know what to expect and to be ready.  We want you to enjoy this special time with your new baby and to feel confident. Wonderful class for grandparents, nannies, or any of the baby’s caregivers!

Register for a breastfeeding class and start preparing today to successfully feed your baby. Breastfeeding is a natural and wonderful way to feed your baby! It provides many benefits for both baby and mother, but it can be challenging to figure out those first days and weeks. It is very important that a new breastfeeding mother is prepared and feels cared for and supported! Partners play a vital role during this transitional time as mom and baby are learning how to breastfeed. Partners therefore are encouraged to attend Breastfeeding Class with the mother. Come learn the basics for early breastfeeding success!

This Breastfeeding Class includes expert instruction, discussion, a PowerPoint presentation, Instructor demonstration and hands-on practice of breastfeeding holds.

Kyle Dempsey shares, “The practice of yoga has been an anchor and refuge over this past year as I have transitioned into the role as a mother. I am inspired to share with others navigating early motherhood. I teach a dynamic and therapeutic Vinyasa flow, soundly grounded in breath work, alignment and in the fundamentals of anatomy. I strongly believe that yoga is for everyone (and their babies!) and every body. Recently, my teaching is influenced by my baby girl who reminds me daily of how challenging, ever-changing and beautiful life is.” 

This relaxing 45-minute class lets you bond with your baby while you exercise and connect with other new moms! You are welcome to stop to feed and comfort your baby as necessary. Please bring your yoga mat and water bottle, boppies and bottle warmers are available.

This class is for BOTH expectant mothers and moms looking to relax, stretch out, breathe deeply and connect with their body. This moms-only class is a special, supportive space to build community while taking the best care of our bodies and minds. We will stretch, flow, balance and strengthen both physically and mentally. All levels are more than welcome and each mama is encouraged to meet herself exactly where she is each day. This class is a gift to yourself. Can’t wait to see you on the mat mamas.

You and your child are invited to join us for this happy, engaging music class incorporating musical instruments, movement and fun!

ROCK IT, BABY!   BABIES (4 months to walking) and caregiver

Research has consistently shown that experiencing music taps into all categories of development for kids. All humans benefit from music in the area of memory but young children can use it as a tool to become more adept at improving language, improving motor skills, and self-expression. Listening to and playing music helps the body communicate more efficiently and can bring a huge boost to fluid intelligence. This class is recommended for non-mobile babies.

This music and movement program combines music, dance and educational tools for 45 minutes of can’t-stop, won’t-stop bonding, learning, and fun!

This 45-minute class will start with you and your child enjoying circle time together! This will be followed by your child’s own creative art and sensory exploration station. Your child will paint on the floor and walls, make a mural with various materials, play with water and sand, and much more! While your child is busy playing and exploring, he or she will be practicing important fine motor, cognitive and social skills. Class will end with story time and bubbles!
